Tetradown Privacy Policy
The short version:
- Tetradown has no accounts, no sign-up and no login.
- We (FreiLabs) do not collect, store or receive any personal information about you.
- Your best score and sound settings are saved only on your device.
- The game is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data to deliver and measure those ads, as explained below.
- You can limit ad personalization and tracking at any time.
1. Who we are
Tetradown (the “Game”) is developed and published by FreiLabs (“we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Game on iOS, iPadOS and Android. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@freilabs.com.
2. Information stored on your device
The Game saves a small amount of data locally so it works the way you left it:
- Your best score.
- Your preferences, such as music and sound effects on or off.
This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the Game. Depending on your device settings, your operating system may include it in your own iCloud or Google device backups, which are governed by Apple’s or Google’s privacy policies.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
To keep the Game free, we show ads using Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC (and, for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited). The Game may display:
- a banner ad on screen while you play;
- full-screen (interstitial) ads at natural breaks, such as between games;
- optional rewarded video ads, which you can choose to watch to continue a game. Rewarded ads are never shown unless you tap to request one.
Information collected by Google AdMob
The Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the Game automatically collects and processes certain information from your device. We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you. According to Google’s disclosures, it may include:
- Device identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID or, on iOS, the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) if you allow tracking, plus the app-set ID / identifier for vendors.
- IP address, which may be used to estimate your general (approximate) location.
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language, screen size, network type and app version.
- Ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown, ad views, taps and video completion.
- Diagnostic data, such as SDK crash logs, launch time and ad loading performance.
How this information is used
Google uses this information to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and abuse, and — only where you have given consent or where permitted by law — show ads that are personalized to your interests. To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Your choices
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Game uses Google’s consent management platform (User Messaging Platform) to ask for your consent before personal data is used for personalized advertising or before information is stored on or read from your device for that purpose. You can review or change your choice at any time through the privacy options in the Game’s settings. If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalized ads, which use limited data for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
iPhone and iPad (App Tracking Transparency)
On iOS and iPadOS, the Game will ask for your permission before your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) is used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the IDFA is not shared and you will see less personalized ads. You can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Android
On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in Settings › Google › Ads (or Settings › Privacy › Ads, depending on your device).
United States
We do not sell personal information for money. However, under some U.S. state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act), allowing an advertising partner to use device identifiers for personalized ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out at any time by using the device controls described above (limiting tracking on iOS or deleting your advertising ID on Android), or by contacting us.
5. Legal bases and your rights (GDPR and LGPD)
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation or Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) applies, personal data used for personalized advertising is processed on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Limited processing needed to deliver non-personalized ads, measure them and prevent fraud is based on legitimate interests in offering the Game for free and keeping advertising secure.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD). Because we do not hold personal data about you, most requests regarding advertising data are best handled through the controls above or directly with Google, but we are happy to help — just email hello@freilabs.com.
6. Children
Tetradown is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the Game, please contact us and we will work with you to address it.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent or share any personal information ourselves. The only third party that processes data in connection with the Game is Google, through AdMob, as described in Section 3. The app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play) may also collect information when you download the Game, under their own privacy policies.
8. Data retention and security
We do not retain any personal data. Data stored locally by the Game remains on your device until you uninstall it. Information collected by Google is retained according to Google’s own retention policies.
9. International transfers
Google may process information on servers located in countries other than your own, including the United States, using legal safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when the Game gains new features. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
